'Brick & Ember Pizzeria began with a simple dream: to bring authentic Neapolitan pizza to London. Founded by the Smith family in 1985, our pizzeria started as a small, family-run establishment with recipes handed down through generations.

Oliver Smith, our founder, learned the craft of pizza-making during travels across Italy, apprenticing with master pizzaiolos in Naples—the birthplace of pizza. After returning to the UK, she aimed to recreate the magic of true Italian pizza, using traditional methods and top-quality ingredients.

What started as a modest 12-seat pizzeria has blossomed into a cherished local institution, yet our dedication to quality and authenticity has never faltered. We still rely on wood-fired oven techniques, prepare dough fresh daily, and source ingredients of the highest standard.

Today, 'Brick & Ember Pizzeria remains a family-owned operation, with the next generation of the Smith family guiding our devoted team. While we’ve adopted some modern touches, the core of our business remains unchanged: creating delicious, authentic pizza that brings people together.
